The 2022 college football season is finally here. With 22 of the 131 FBS teams in action, Week 0 brings several games that will help fans get a taste of what’s in store for the coming months. While there are no AP Top 25 teams in the field Saturday, there are some compelling storylines that will be part of the slate.
A Big Ten matchup between Nebraska and Northwestern in Ireland, with both teams looking to bounce back from lackluster 2021 campaigns. Florida State, Illinois, North Carolina and Vanderbilt will operate from the Power Five rankings. Capping the night off is a unique conference showdown where Vanderbilt travels to Hawaii for the first game for Rainbow Warriors coach Timmy Chang.
